Quality does Matter - Bedhead Lights

Previously we had bought our LED strips from Qoo10 in our attempt to save some money considering that the whole package cost at least one-fifth of what the local lighting shops are selling at. Most of them were working fine, except our bedhead ones which burns out every 30min. We assessed the fault to lie with the adaptor, and suspected that it could have overheated in that enclosed cabinet. Regardless, it was quite disruptive having to off-on the switch again only to have it burn out again in 30min. Thinking it was a faulty adaptor, i ordered another adaptor from Qoo10, and that burned out in like 5min. Zzz.

So i decided to head down to my local lighting store to get their expensive adaptor which look like this, and it definitely feels better than those laptop-charger-like adaptors from the Qoo10 seller. At almost three-times the price, it better be good. Turns out, it did work, and the burn out issues did not happen again.

Now we could enjoy some proper ambiance lights at our bedroom without having it blackout every now and then. Fortunately though, the other adaptors for my LED strips at the kitchen and living room had no issues so far, but if they do burn out, I know the appropriate solution now.

My ID had also made a fitting box for the adaptor as it could not fit inside the bedhead. Not the ideal situation i have to say, but this does make it look better than having the adaptor exposed in this shelves. Hopefully, it does not cause it to overheat further.

Glimpse of the Projector

With the last touch up completed and the final payment settled, our renovations for the house has officially come to an end. It has been a long long journey, one that we are almost too embarrassed to talk about. The planned completion was in May 2017, but it was delayed for almost half a year. Many things happened along the way and we gained many learning pointers which would hopefully help us and anyone with any future houses renovation next time. It has been an eye-opening experience for us, setting up our little place called home. We are definitely glad that this is all over, although it only marks the beginning of our beautiful lives ahead in this nest....

And showcasing a glimpse of our home entertainment system right now. A whooping 150 inch screen punched into our wall to give us the feel of a movie theatre. Although we have some light leaked from the glaring afternoon sun in the middle of the day, which we would touch up soon, the projector did a fantastic job at providing us our shows and movies. This is our first time exploring the projector world instead of a regular television, and we have to say... we are definitely here to stay.

Future: Kids Room. Present: Yoga Room

Finally found a breather to come back to post about our house. Preparation for school projects and exams has taken a toll on our leisure time, but we are back!

Having a five-room unit means we have more space than what's really required for us. Actually, there isn't much difference between a four-unit and five-unit beside a larger living room, but we wanted the huge living room so regardless we still have one spare room. That room was meant to be kept vacant for the future kid but it would be a waste not to use it considering we are paying taxes for it. So we have used it as our yoga room for the time being.

Busy fixing up the TV console from IKEA. We ain't going to put a television here though, but it was a right sized right priced table for us to put our yoga stuffs so we bought it immediately.

How the table/tv console looks like. Here is where we will place our phones, mats, towels, drinks, and other miscellaneous things during our workout. It does serve its purpose.

What better way to tell the time in a yoga room than from a yoga clock made with yoga poses? Painstakingly placed them up where we have to ensure that the layout is accurate like a clock.

Introducing the Mandala Tapestry. It was a word (or two words to be exact) that I have just learnt today. This is the dedicated corner where we will be doing our photo taking at with interchangeable background.
